The Hidden Talent

Friday evening; sunny day
Church opening to start practice
Moms rushing kids to go
Don’t know what talent I have

Dance teacher getting music ready
Kids signing up but one doesn’t
Dance teacher watching everyone
But mind on one kid
Still doesn’t know what talent I have

Moms watching kids proud
Dance teacher stop music
Change dancing routine
Call that one kid up
Still don’t know what talent I have

Teacher put me in dance routine
Doesn’t want to do it
Teacher see something in me
But I don’t
Still don’t know what talent I have

Teacher tell me to try
But I don’t know what to do
But I still try the dance
Teacher was please
Moms was speechless
But I now KNOW my hidden talent

Most people don't know their talent...afraid to believe what they feel inside...A good reminder this poem invokes... All the best Julicia
