The Hearts Beating For So Much More

We surround ourselves with distractions to keep our thoughts from wondering off at night and yet they do.
We shut our hearts while they scream and toss inside us
And we act as if we cannot hear them
We distance ourselves from everything that makes us happiest for no reason
Yet we pray we are thought of
Missed
And alive in one another
We show the world we are strong and invulnerable yet the hints that leak of us fail to do so
We go to bed thinking of a better day to come
Thinking we'd wakeup and hear the words we ache to listen to one more time
Yet we know every day is the same
And the days are not better than each other
We try with all our might to evoke emotion, sentiment yet we fail every night and try again everyday
What is it that drives us
Pushes us
Ails us
They are the hearts beating while we silence them
For so much more.

Achingly sad, Louzana; we cannot change our yesterdays, but we can begin again with a new tomorrow. ;)
