The Heart

Drummer for the Ages

the heart, never entirely
retreats --

admits only recalescent rests...

radiant pauses, between life’s

many

Tempering

beats --

Hi Empress; so pleased you enjoyed this read. Always nice to see something one writes, touch another in a meaningful way. That's what poetry is all about I think. Blessings my friend.

What's the point of a heart if it can be broken? But, the point it to keep breaking it until it open.... such a fragile things becomes so strong after adversity my friend... a heart and its recollection of life is someone only that heart truly understands..

Hi Si; thank you. Like that Horn of Plenty, and also Pandora's Box, an open heart yields treasure and rocks -- eventually we only pick the treasures...hopefully anyway. Blessings my friend. Wise comment.
