The Haunted House
There’s an old abandoned Victorian house on the hill
Rumored to be haunted by a past murderous kill
No one dares to go in it due to their fears
It’s believed no one’s been in it for years
It’s been newly listed on the market for sale
A beautiful old house, priced cheap, it’s a steal
I will have to go over to look at it and see
If it’s really as haunted as rumored to be
As I walk through the door the air gets very thick
the door closes behind me and locks with a loud click
distracted by the beautiful old antiques covered with dust
I know then, it has to be, that buying this house is a must
I am getting excited to give this beauty a new story
By fantasizing about restoring it back to its glory
Then music starts to play as the lights flicker on
I am frozen but mesmerized by the beautiful song
As I start to leave and head towards the door
I look back as I hear a creek on the floor
a ghostly spirit appears and calls out my name
I run out the door, screaming like I'm insane
I decided I no longer want to own this home
this experience has chilled me to the bone
The beautiful old Victorian will remain for sale
Unless some other fool is brave enough to prevail
