The Greatest Mystery of Them All

What then is love?
Love is when
we are able to drop
all pretense of being perfect
and allow ourselves
just to be.
When we love,
it is comfortable
to become whatever we are
and to allow the one loved
to become whatever they are.
Love teaches us how to relax more
and to learn how to trust more
until we come to a point
where there is no longer any fear.
To fear love, is not to love at all.
Each one of us
must one day decide
without knowing the outcome;
or reject love and walk away,
without ever knowing
the greatest mystery
of them all.
