Skillful use of alliteration. I had to do some research as I had never heard WW I called this. Now I remember hearing about the guns of August. A wonderful haiku.

I do like a bit of alliteration in a Haiku and sometimes - just sometimes - a *lot* of alliteration. Thanks for your comments, Linda.
