The Go Gether

She came into this world
One tough little girl
And battled her way to the top

She drives and strives to thrive
Believing her day will arrive
Knowing she’ll outwork the crop

She’s been fighting so long
To prove them all wrong
Now she wonders if she’ll ever stop

She’d love to bask in the glory
Tell the world a triumphant story
Still so scared she might flop

She’s climbed mighty mountains
Drank champagne from fine fountains
Yet fears a precipitous drop

She’s risen to be the best
But she’ll never rest
Always living life on the hop
