Quite an animal the Giraffe Sara. They are related to deer, cattle and other even toed ugulates. But indeed a species in their own right. Fine Haiku, I like it. Congrats in the contest. Have a lovely weekend :)

lines 1 & 2 ok line 3 is not a cut....you have only 1 part you need 2 parts have line 3 give someother sensory input & no capitals or title Sara giraffe long thick neck/ muscles battle ready/ distant roar [something like that let the reader have another sensory clue of the scene] then you'd have 2 parts

Nice. Much enjoyed. Love Haikus so much, but are not very good at doing them myself. Haikus are one of my favorite forms. Thanks for commenting on my Quatrain too.
