The Gift That I Give You
I dare say that there are myriads of gifts that I could freely give
with loads of confidence and joy that you'd happily receive.
They'd be gifts I could freely give as I have freely received.
Not one would be to deceive, but filled with loving honesty.
I could give you a set of HEARING ears, programed to listen.
I could give you a speaking voice that also understands 'quiet'.
I could give you eyes with SIGHT to see what you need, not want, to see.
I could bless you with the sense of SMELL for all the sweet fragrances of people; Or shower you with an amazing ability to feel, to be TOUCHED by the pains of others.
And dear one, the gift that I would give to you would enamel you with the sense to TASTE of lasting joys, not of fleeting pleasures. You would soon realize that I really could not even offer you such gifts. And you would quickly understand that like most of us, you've already been blessed by God with all of these five senses.
So honestly my friend, with the Grace that God has given me, I give you
the gift of 'INSPIRATIONAL RESOLVE' to use our God-Given senses, wisely.
