The Gift OF Christmas


Arrays of packaged presents, large and small,
the sound of bells and lovely Christmas songs,
fresh cold, crisp air, and joy of Santa's call-
this time of year, to Christmas time, belongs.

But, these make up the fun-filled outer wrap
that holds the deeper gift of love, the prize,
which dwindles when we fall into the trap-
neglect the meaning Christmas time implies.

Before and after Christmas, hold it dear,
this heartfelt gift of love for all to share;
enjoy those feelings through the coming year
and let them flow with joy beyond compare.

LONG BURIED NEATH THE PRESENTS, CARDS, AND BOWS-
     shared CHRISTMAS LOVE FOREVER SHINES and glows.
