The Giant

They call me a giant I don't know why In this world I feel so small For if they keep taking all I have Then I'm really no giant at all My home is in China but not for long For my family will soon disappear We're only a couple of thousand strong But we get fewer every year We eat bamboo, it's what we live for It's also what makes us live You're gonna miss us when we're gone And the joy we could have give Some people even say that I'm a bear But I'm a species all my own With five fingers and even a thumb Something most has never known They call me The Giant Panda Though my black and white is distinct An endangered species that needs your help Before I become extinct
