How about this for OPENERS You STOLE my heart away With SIGNS of love and caring A sparkling two way PLAY You guys are all a HIT with me You're WINNERS every time Raising me in the STANDINGS Such loyal FANS of mine Since I was just a ROOKIE poet Had myself quite a RUN Feel like a real VETERAN now This GAME is so much fun Appreciate every seven STAR rating This poetry fits like a GLOVE Quite a CHANGE in one short year Above AVERAGE kind of love So I'm gonna keep on SLUGGING Aiming for the FENCES Hoping to hit a poetic HOME RUN And SCORE with all your senses © Jack Ellison 2013

Really loved the baseball theme... my trolls are more football orientated as hitting their heads doesn't seem to bother them... the dragons favorite sport is trying to recreate the fourth of July everyday... But the old codger next door shares his radio with Grandpa Troll for baseball... They both sit by the lake and have the dragon roast hot dogs... to go with their beer... LOL Summers a coming I can hear it every where...

Used to be a baseball FANATIC!!! Knew every player, their averages, how many home runs and what kind of underwear they wore... jockeys or those loosey goosey, free swinging boxers! LOL xoxox

I love the BOLD caps. They EMPHASIZE your point to the EXTREME... hehehe. It would be a gloomier place without you here, Jack. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the seven star ratings though? Lucilla gave me one recently... but I didn't know you could rate poems?
