The Gainsayer's Requiem

Against his ignorance I write unknown,
For I contest his constructs, shun his thrusts,
While he constructs my contests, veils the known,
With tricky confidence confides and trusts.
And 'gainst his villainy I write advice,
For I convert his convicts, vice reverse,
While he convicts my converts, virtue's vice,
My converse controversy turned averse.
But 'gainst his animus I've thrived with ears,
For he'll conflict my concerts, tear apart,
While I'll concert our conflicts, join through tears,
A rose-married remembrance held in heart.
Record the contents of our concord heart:
Content records of life's unconquered art.
