The Future As Best I Remember

Then right became wrong and wrong became right And those screaming for peace only wanted to fight Asleep in the day only moving at night Deeds of darkness done brazenly Unseen in plain sight Life had no value and truth became small With justice in hiding And hate standing tall With deception the talisman We waltzed at the ball Til the bell rang at midnight And startled us all We looked for our heroes But none could be found Honor despised And cast to the ground Heavens now brass Wines bitter and vile Bread stale and moldy Virgin brides with no smile The dreams of our fathers Imprisoned and dying We had learned so much yet slowly gone blind
