The Front Line

an unseen menace
a state of perplexity,
hard pressed analyst
from behind binding masks
all that they do, is for you.

I know first hand how hard that much be for those who have worked so hard through this crisis to our healthcare system. My family came called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. The ambulance Paramedic said was working a double shift and he wasn't even from our county but worked at another hospital about a 30 minute drive away. Anyway he said if he put me in the ambulance that I would have at least a 3 hour wait to be able to even get in the ER so I chose to stay at home. I lived ..Sara

I'm with Judy. I thought the same. Front line of anything are doing hero's work. Also the front line doctors that not many people like to listen to here in the states.

When I first read this poem I thought it was about the govt. and this covid thing. have re-read it and now see it is the soldiers you are talking about. Forgive my stupidity. Excellent piece . Heroes one and all. God Bless, JB

So deeply, exquisitely expressed! Truth here. Should be sent to NYTimes. Timely, touching, too infrequently said. Thank you for this, for bringing it forward out of silence. Big hugs, sally
