the friend
been wound up so tight in a minute i am going to snap
explosions in my mind sound like a thunderclap
why are you so far
i just want to be set free and let out of this cage
don't want to do anything wrong, just let out some rage
i'm wishing on a star
hating is the demon that is holding me down
hating myself has left me in the gutters around town
why are you so far
left Azusa the home i was raised, over the ocean to a new ground
it didn't take that long before i was inside out and heard the soft sound
i'm wishing on a star
the pen was locked and i was willing, be with me, softer, be with me
don't you know i did it for you, your guilt your shame, hung on a tree for you
why you love me
why you care
why you died
only for a friend
and i
