The Fork in the Road
Before you ask which way to go,
remember where you’ve been.
I will stand at the fork in the road,
waiting for you.
And when you make up your mind,
we will walk together
down the lane.
We will talk about forever.
I will tell you, “I love you,”
right before you disappear.
I will whisper, “I’ll miss you,”
and “I will always be near.”
So—
before you ask which way to go,
remember where you’ve been.
I will stand at the fork in the road,
waiting for you again.
