The Forever Beauty

It was a warm August night The air was humid from the southerly breeze That mildly crept from the shore The gulls have since left the beach for the day Safely tucked away in there abodes An occasional passerby would wander past Give a nod of the head or say hello I would just sit and watch from the boardwalk And listen to the sound of the surf See the glow in the horizon A feeling a safety and permanence overcame me I felt at one with surrounding elements All of a sudden, The moon smiled Revealing a beauty, not created by man, Nor yet affected by man, But just one that will always be The forever beauty
