The Forever Beauty
It was a warm August night
The air was humid from the southerly breeze
That mildly crept from the shore
The gulls have since left the beach for the day
Safely tucked away in there abodes
An occasional passerby would wander past
Give a nod of the head or say hello
I would just sit and watch from the boardwalk
And listen to the sound of the surf
See the glow in the horizon
A feeling a safety and permanence overcame me
I felt at one with surrounding elements
All of a sudden,
The moon smiled
Revealing a beauty, not created by man,
Nor yet affected by man,
But just one that will always be
The forever beauty
