A trump card up my sleeve. ----------------------------------------- Author: Paul Callus ~ 31/01/2015 Contest: Tarot Cards Sponsor: Nette Onclaud Placed: 2nd

Fools don't walk around with a plan B, much less a trump card! You've done it again with that surprising ending ... always great to end on a high note. What's octodil?

Thank you for the positive comments, Timothy! The Octodil form is not listed in PS. It's made up of 8 lines, 4-4-6-6-8-8-6-6 syllables per line, and it's unrhymed. ~ Regards // paul

Your comment on not knowing much about a subject reminds me of a similar situation where I tackled "saddles" in a poem, knowing rien du tout.//Hugs, Julia

I studied Latin, not French, but I think 'rien du tout' is something of little importance...perhaps I'm wrong! Hugs // paul

It comes over as an easy write. That sort is always the best. Hugs, Julia, xx

Wonderful dear friend, a fool with a trump card is a wonderful demonstration of the wisdom that masquerades as foolishness. 7 x 7!
