The Fondest Conviction
Each one of us has
the fondest conviction
that encourages us to move on,
to explore new horizons,
new frontiers still unknown;
turn your prospective into reality
and finally, reach your goal.
Caring for one another,
looking out for unseen dangers
to protect our life that's more
brittle than a glass that shatters;
more than our sight given to us
to witness the beauty, the ugliness
and endless inhumanity.
Is conviction a rejected assumption,
if it doesn't show the strength within,
the permissible advantage of realizing
a persuasive concept in the making?
Many dreams fail not having
enough confidence to persuade them,
be realistic but also optimistic;
a pessimist sees things differently
swaying from the logic of persuasion,
from a declaration of utter disbelief
that a simple thought can become
bigger than an underestimate idea,
even grander than a visualized dream.
Each one of us has the fondest conviction
that any effort made is better than none
and whenever satisfaction rewards us
with a trophy of our own; all is lost,
nothing is gained in bashful living...
not sought by the unconfident and timid.
