The Fish Who Broke the River

Most fish swam downstream, chasing the promise of the ocean.
Some, afraid of its depth, turned upstream until their strength gave out.
One fish, weary of both current and fear, flung itself onto land.
The others pitied it, certain it would die.
But in time, the fish grew legs.
It breathed the air.
And while the others mocked, it walked on.
