swallows dip and dive zigzags across azure skies ... summer has arrived We delivered shopping to our elderly friends and due to slight changes in lock down we sat in the garden with a cup of tea and had a proper conversation for the first time in about 8 weeks (2m rule applying) I spied 2 swallows dipping and diving across the sky, it was a wonderful sight I wanted to share. 05/11/20

Thanks JCB it was a wonderful sight and when I spoke to my friend yesterday about getting the baking powder for her she said they'd not seen the swallows since our visit:-) hugs Jan xx

Simple lines conveying simple joys. A special one to remember, Jan. A sunny day in winter when the mist is starting to clear is something else too. We have to do all we can to so as many young ones as possible get the experience that lasts a life time. Thank you for your wonderful poem. Regards David in NZ

Oh, enjoyed! The swallows do swallow me whole. There's hundreds over the river not far from my house- have not seen numbers like that in maybe 15 years. Stood on the pedestrian bridge agape in awe as they flew around and over. Seriously one of my favouritest things in the world. xomo

We have shopped for friends but not had contact with them - them put the money in a fishing net for me lol, today is the first time we have actually sat in the garden and chatted with them. lock down is easing to some degree, more shops and business will open but with social distancing measures. it will be interesting to see if the number of cases rises - we have had 2 days of no new cases so things are improving but we cant be complacent:-) hugs Jan xx

"Swallow up and stay home" is the best advice! The UK has only now decided to quarantine new arrivals? I thought you wrote IOM did that in March? It seems Bojo still does not understand how many people can be infected by ONE carrier! Thank you for shopping for the elderly! Aloha! Rico

We have had total lock down on our Island since about 23rd march, only medical emergencies can leave by plane other than that no planes arrive or depart and the ferry is for freight only but every weds they bring back people who have been stranded either in the uk/ or come to the uk from abroad and they have to isolate for 14 days when they get here. I shop for my friend Chris and her hubby as she was a godsend when my hubby had his cancer surgery and for a couple in their late 70's early 80s. (i promised their family in the UK we would shop for them to save them going out and risk getting infected). It was so lovely to sit in the garden with our friends today - will be a long time before we can socialise properly then it will be a time to celebrate. No new cases for the 2nd day running but we can't be complacent:-) take care my friend:-) hugs Jan xx
