A poem I have found 
In The Wiarton  Echo
Found eight years ago
Printed on the Poet's page
I rea\d it several times
The more I read it
I was drawn to the poem
Enjoying the poem i read

Before the day was done
I removed the poem 
I kept it ever since
Reading the poem often
A poem that made me 
Love poetry on the 
Poet's page

For me, as far as I remember I started when my mom trained me to memorize poems and recite aloud with interpretations. The first 2 poems i memorized were Cradle Hymn and A Tree.
