The First Greeting From Your Eyes
I shouldn't have looked into wondrous eyes
to find a reason to comply and stay
and dance with romance beneath stars that sigh
in a fragrant-scented night, I'll obey
that your eyes so tender could hold me chained
with delicate passions burning desire
I become a prisoner that's retrained
freedom is granted to caress the fire
we'll hear the breathless breath of love in flight
and find a quietness that we'll embrace
unaware of stars falling through the night
I am lost in eyes that reflect love's grace
that I have looked into your wondrous eyes
to strip my mask, my unwilling disguise
