Notes About The Poem

THE FIRST BUBBLE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a single sphere rises~ a tiny cosmos escaping the flute’s curve. we lift our glasses, not to the year past, but to the silence between seconds~ that breath before the next breath, before the cork pops, before the chorus of clink and cheers drowns the hush of hope. Here’s to the fizz on our tongues, to the future~ unbroken.
