The First and Last Voice
Yours is the last voice I hear
Before I surrender myself to sleep
The way you utter my name
Telling me how much you love me
How much you care and appreciate me
It keeps playing in my head
Penetrating through my subconsciousness
Reminding me that I have someone to live for
Someone I've got to hold on to
And when I finally open my eyes
Yours is the first voice I hear
Whispering in my ears that you love me so.
