The Ferris Wheel
I was young
So I got married on a ferris wheel
And round and round and round we went
In circles
I was foolish
Ferris wheels take you nowhere
Other than the highs and lows of life
Love has a way of spinning you around
The Ferris wheel of love
Tossed me to the ground
Joined the circus of loneliness
Saw you in a dream
Travel to far away places
To look in the mirrors
Of martini bars
Saw a phone on the wall
So I just called
To say
I love you
