The Feral Cats

The two feral cats
Into the backyard
Stepping on the deck
They stared inside
Then slowly waked by
Watching the glass door

One cat looks angry
The other is calm
I've given them names
One is Romeo
The other Patches
They come often

Nice of you to feed these poor cats. My mom has 15 of them and dropped off by people in town who do not want them. It gets expensive to feed them and the vet bills to fix them. Luckily she lives on an acreage to accommodate them all. Have a great weekend. love phyl

May God bless you for feeding these poor cats. They never asked to be feral. Be careful though if you live in an area where there are fleas as feeding them so close to your abode can bring fleas to your d yard and your other cat friends. I had to treat my cats with an oral flea medicine as well as their topical this season here.

Hello Nancy, feed them they just stroll by the patio door and look inside. Then leave. These cats are beautiful. i feelsorry for them to be on their own. Hugs.

Wonderful names, Darlene. I had 5 feral cats here all summer...Ithink all were adopted! Irene and I miss them a lot. Maybe in Spring more will return. Cat lover, Pangie Hug Sparkles… please??

There were five or six on my deck at varying times. Lovely MAma cat and kittens.Irene and I loved them. I think they will return for you and I.Bunnies are popular as well. I live near a small river. Very peaceful place for nature’s animals. Huggs, your ster in cherishing cats,Patti.

Hello Panagiota, Sparkles sends kisses to Iren. I do not feed these feral cats. I just let them be. They stare insdie the patio door then go their way. I miss them. They will come again when they are ready. Hugs.

By the way, feral cats know how to live on their own totally. All I did was made sure they had water. I did not feed them, against residency rules. Cats love to eat mice. Pure protein for them. Irene just yawned and sent Sparkles her best…))) Pangie

They sound like fun to have around, they might be a couple and and will want you to organize a special day for them. We had an incident in the Estate we are living in - 3 women were running after a feral kitten, it ran under our stationary car, but one woman lay down by the side of the car to pull it out, silly, because the kitten latched onto hr hand with its teeth and its claws. She had to have a rabies injection and stitches. hope you are well, hugs and blessings,Jennifer.

Hello Jennifer, yes maybe they do want me to organize a special day for them. The woman should have left the kitten alone. if she would have left it aline she would not have to have injections. Hugs. I am well thankyou. I hope you are to.

Probably best not to feed them Darlene, they might have kittens nearby, and can be quite mean, but ok to observe from a distance, take care, cheers

Hello David, Perhaps that is what is happening. Remo is is grey with strips. Patches | I named the other cat| looks Looks like he belongs in the wild. He is orange with patches of black. His face looked mean as he looked inside the glss door when passing by. cheers Darlene
