The Feel of Mud Oozing

The feel of mud oozing between my toes Watching an ant going about its business, Bizarre ideas crossing my mind are those Causing my brain to spiral into dizziness. I am captivated by silly, mundane things That no one else would think of trying, Like writing a poem about guitar strings Or feeling elation when a mouse is dying. I need no affirmation for small trivialities Merely recognizing that they do exist Acknowledging my need for frivolities, I could mention a few more on my list! Things that captivate my full attention Are those things pricking my imagination There are far too many to get a mention, Making me exclaim, "What in tarnation!"

I count on these things daily for inspiration "I am captivated by silly, mundane things" and I am never disappointed, Hank. Never!

I so agree with this way of thinking, Caren. Me, too!

Seems this is the mind of a true poet... watching quietly, even the silliest detail, then painting it in words for others to live through your eyes. Weird thoughts are like a poet's air, in my humble opinion!

Oh, I love this phrase, "Weird thoughts are like a poet's air..."

Each thought is valuable Milton. It is shared and recognized by those that maybe never had them but by seeing and learning they can appreciate. Thanks for sharing my friend...

I suppose that is true, Michael, but I have a plethora of weird thoughts!
