The Fall

So easily are we lead astray From truth that's been revealed The Fall hath made us vulnerable To follow that which kills And not just follow but adore So great our blindness is As trinkets treat we 'ternal Truth And in truth seek ignorance And ignorance, our mighty shield Deploy we through the day And then we count it great success To 'ave kept the Lord at bay But worry not the Word's afoot Alone He'll leave us never If little drips awake us not Then He'll unleash a river And in the chaos that ensues When we are gripped in fear The Lord awaits to welcome us And draw us ever near

Wonderful! I had to take off my worldly glasses, and it all came together... once blinded by ignorance... now I know. Thank you for your beautiful poetry.
