The Face of the Father pt1

The Face Of The Father

Quote: We will always discover who the Fatherw1 is and what He is like whenever we gaze into His face.

A face-to-face relationship with the Father is the only way in which we can be set free from Satan’s lies and their influence in our life. A face-to-face relationship with the Father is the only way that genuine healing will ever occur within one's soul. 2 Corinthians 3:18 describes the power that is contained within a face-to-face relationship with our heavenly Father.

This verse starts off by saying: But we all with an unveiled face. An unveiled face means that we are not hiding from the Father. It means that we are continually abiding in His presence. It means that we are always pressing in to get a glimpse of who the Father is and what He is like. An unveiled face in our relationship with the Father means that we are so near in our relationship with Him that we can hear His voice whenever He speaks to us.

2 Corinthians 3:18 then goes on to say: beholding as in a mirror the glory of God. Beholding means that we are gazing into the object that we are looking at. A mirror is designed to reflect an image. There are many mirrors in our life that reflect the Father's face towards us. There is the person of Jesus. There is the written word of God. There is the teaching and preaching of the word of God. The Body of Christ is also one of these mirrors.

It is from these mirrors that the Father’s face and the light of His glory will shine into our hearts through our spiritual eye (Ephesians 1:17-18). Every time that the light of the Father's glory shines into our heart through our spiritual eye we will always discover something new about Him and how He relates to us in and through all of life's scenarios. In the measure that we press into the Father by drawing near to the mirrors that reflect who He is towards us, will ultimately determine the quantity and quality of inner healing and freedom that we will experience in our relationship with Him.
