The Eve of Battle

On the eve of battle,
I meditate,
contemplating,
which moves will I make.

How will it start,
how will it end,
will this be a hard battle,
how will I defend.

My enemy be no fool,
a worthy adversary is he,
we will engage in battle,
only one will have victory,

Solider's will fall,
in battles they always do,
it's a small sacrifice,
I will keep pushing through,

Total domination is the method,
I choose to use,
I'll smash his army to pieces,
then come after him too.

And right at the end,
there be only two things to do,
he'll bow in defeat,
or i'll destroy him too.

A great way to describe a chess game. Your work has wording that is easy to read and understand; so it conveys a clear message to the reader. The rhyming is also quite good. Welcome to this site. I know you will like it here.
