Just another page in my history- Oh, how will I survive from this sad day; my soul is painted in shades of dark blue, and I stand alone knowing I cannot stay. In memories you are right beside me always- When I fell in love with you it was forever; and your love still whispers from a distant heaven, I don't think I can find the strength ever, ever. I say goodbye my love and I am falling apart- We have reached the end of the road, two now one; yes, I know I need to walk away as there is nothing left, I will paint you in my mind till all my days are done. The wind will be your hand wiping away my tears- There is only one road for me now to follow; and memories of you will be with me always, always, so goodbye my love, I need to find my tomorrow. _________________________________ December 30, 2016 Poetry/Quatrain/The End Of The Road Copyright Protected, ID 12-862-079-30 All Rights Reserved, 2016, Constance La France For the Standard contest, Poet's Choice Sponsor, Nicola Byrne, Judged 01/2017 Third Place

So sad to say goodbye, and so difficult when you have no choice, I love the ending line BW.

This poem of yours reminds me the song "Maybe tomorrow I find my way..." which was played in the opening of 'Wicker Park' movie, based on a tortured thriller love-story. Amazing poem, B.W.
