The End of a Circle
Do we live forever?
Will we shine in stars and be heard in seashells, selling our histories upon seashores?
Do we live forever?
Will I haunt a long-lost beau into loving me, sparkle with electric messages as a ghost in a machine?
Do we live forever?
Will you ever understand the chicken / egg dilemma, why we don’t count them before they hatch?
Do we live forever?
Will you remember kissing me? Or your memory eating disease? Will you remember forgetting me?
Do we live forever?
Maybe I’ll learn what’s above black and below white, what happens within silence and outside of air.
Do we live forever?
It’s a looping number 8 that's trying to find the end of a circle - or, maybe the start.
But when I find out, you’ll be the first person I tell.
