The End - a New Beginning

The conflict of the ages past
has come to a grim end at last.
Satan’s host in the final clash
with Christ, God’s Son, is burnt to ash.

Before the host received their due
they declared God was just and true.
His Son chose death to give them life,
They chose a life, of sin and strife.

The fire that destroyed Satan’s host,
cleansed the old earth from coast to coast.
It paved the way for God to make
a new earth in the old earth’s wake.

The earth restored, with Eden’s sod,
will host the New City of God.
The saved of earth, will in it dwell,
their praise to God, like waves would swell.
