Hey John, this is Silpika here, I rarely comment and most of the times inactive due to hectic schedule, but this one has caught my eye and not only I love the title, but the fusion of those magnetic play of a pupil of your pupils, a Vincent of your irises. I rate it as splendid...regards Silpika

Very clever and certainly thought provoking! I especially like "Vincent of your irises" (evokes the song "Starry Starry Night"-tribute to Van Gogh) Happy Thanksgiving, Paulette

Nice pick up on that hint, Paulette. I am a big Van Gogh fan and one of my favorite paintings of his is 'Irises' at the Getty museum in L.A. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend

Very Poetic. I read it over several times. It made more sense to me after every read. Eye thought it very clever. had to look up the word sclera. I looked so close to the dictionary it could see the whites of my eyes. A winner for sure... Thank You...Take care. Shirley.

'Eye thought it very clever' made me smile. Thank you, Shirley. I'm always glad to help increase the vocabulary of a fellow poet (truth is, I had to look up sclera too!)
