The Emancipated

"The Emancipated"
See all the pretty words perched on a tongue like singing birds Anagnorisis from the Poetic Aristotle effecting affectations from the fangs a cutting 100th monkey Sting the truth like a bee sipping nectar kissing blooming minds masked in soliloquay lines of perdition beckoning mushrooms atomic fusion drunken swallows all sing in flattering discord ribbons of melting harmony red bolsheviks in their own time tightly strung emancipating crumbs of such simple knowledge found in golden maize of Rhyme The Cherry Orchard It is sold In their final days (LadyLabyrinth / 2020)

I don't know if it smells the same, but it all does come from the same dung lit realm of shade, as we pass through timeless eternity seeking acknowledgment from something that we were even here, one day it all ends and all the words that were are nevermore...

"masked in soliloquy lines of perdition beckoning mushrooms"-- really like that. Sometimes that is all we can get from the darkness. They are loaded with nourishment, though we can't digest them -- the way they go in is the way they come out. Indeed, happiness is there to easily grasp...but we are preoccupied with a world of foolishness.

It's been a right old 'trip' these last 2-3 years in the Consomme Dimino. I read back some of my poems, and I think, gees...that is effing stupendous writing Lovejoy-Burton. Of course, it's all self-analysis and subliminal messages to myself and those I love, have loved. If anything is found stimulating in that (which I doubt) that another outside my sphere can take home with them...then being here, speaking to a wall, has all been worth it. Words go in and words go out, exactly the same as everyone else here in these esteemed pages. I'm no unicorn, it all smells the same. x

"Deus ex machina Latin. English ‘god from the machine’ ; is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem in a story is suddenly and abruptly resolved by an unexpected and unlikely occurrence. Its function can be to resolve an otherwise irresolvable plot situation, to surprise the audience, to bring the tale to a happy ending.
