The Effectiveness of God's Grace - Titus 2: 11-14
God's grace has come bringing salvation
to people of all variety and distinction
indwelt by His spirit of pure holiness
giving you His gift of regeneration
God's plan in sending His grace
to train His own to be controlled and upright
living lives of godliness in this present age
forsaking worldliness to gain God's light
In all of this God's people do wait
waiting in faith for their blessed hope
that hope is in the appearing of Jesus Christ
your Lord and saviour our all-seeing telescope
This Jesus gave up himself for us
to gain our redemption by His death
on Calvary's cross there He did bleed
gaining our victory in His last breath
Jesus bought us to purify a people
for His own possession to redeem
that they would do good works
being zealous full of godly steam
(For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.)
