Star-dusted peaks you seek on love's golden moonbeam bliss, Feeling the rapture of whipped-cream desire in a whir; Human experience wrapped in euphoria's kiss, The ecstasy and agony of human nature... Throes of living with woes, lost love's pathos reminisce, Soul-groaning, heart-moaning; unwanted guests' bereft slur; Wallowing human exist falls in nightmare's abyss, The ecstasy and agony of human nature. Paul, I wrote this poem and posted it first, then a few weeks later, I came across this stunning painting and I was so struck by it that I had to couple it with my poem - It was like they were made for each other lol! I really love this painting and all of its expressive quality. I think, as poets, we explore the far reaches of our emotional horizons more readily than most and are more appreciative of the fervid flavors of life.Warmest wishes always my friend. ~Susan

The agony and ecstasy of human nature. Nowt so queer as folk . We are either at our level best a stroke of genius like a work of art or dark sadistic black magic. The good is the whipped cream the agony is the abyss

Thank you so much Christopher for reading my poem and sharing your thoughts with me... I agree, human emotions and motivations seem to be like a pendulum swinging one way or the other but rarely satisfied to rest between the two.., ecstasy or agony, unfortunately... I so appreciate your visit - thanks again!
