The Dream Killers
"The Dream Killers"
You say that you will,
and they'll say that you won't!
When you say that "I'll do it!",
they'll say "NO, NO don't!"
When you want to climb,
that's when they'll shoot you down,
and if you're wearing a smile,
they'll be sporting a frown!
If you say "Today's Sunny!",
they'll say "Yep, it's going to rain!"
When you give out a compliment,
then they'll start to complain!
When it's obviously short,
they'll say "Nope, it's too long!"
In your heart you know it's right,
they'll say "In my mind you're wrong!"
When there's something you like,
they'll say "Now, that's no good!"
When you know that you shouldn't,
they'll push and say that 'You should!"
When you've just arrived
they'll say "It's time for us to go!"
They'll whisper in your ear....
(*Whisper this...*)
"Go ahead!...No one will know!"
(*Didn't sound like a good thing, did it?*)
If you get good fortune,
they'll say "Ok, how much is mine?"
The jealousy and envy
will not be a good sign!
When you're calm and relaxed,
they'll be so tense and so terse!
When you're hoping for the best,
they'll be praying for the worst!
Stay your positive self...."YES!"
Keep both hands raised up high!
Don't EVER let them pull you down,
"Reach....Touch the sky!!!"
Brace yourself, walk tall,
remember you're a strong pillar!
Look them right in the eye and say.....
"Not today!....Dream Killer!"
