The Dragon's Lair
Fireflies flicker
in the pupils of the
dragon in his lair
silently he guards the
entrance to the doors of
MeadowFair
MeadowFair lies in
the center of the heart of
widow's wood
and the dragon sleeps
at midnight
we can make it if we're good...
good at climbing magic tressels
good at scaling spiral cliffs
gettng to that place that nestles
where the universe can shift
where the line twixt
good and evil
ebbs and flows and
ne'r stands still
be ye angel or devil
you will find out with
a thrill
what you see there lies
inside you
like a dream, world
but it's real,
there with only love to guide you
you will feel your essence peal.
in the mirror you're distorted
but inside you may be fine
to what means have you resorted
to find out your state of mind?
Break the glass
and slay the sentry
or enchant him as a pet.
Dark phantasms mark the entry
reflecting scenes you want forget
bright refractions, broken mirror
shattered pieces of your past
now with each step you grow clearer
here you really are at last
Is it truly worth the trouble
to discover who is there.
Somewhere
in your mental bubble
waits the dragon
in his lair.
