The Door Closes On 2024
As one looks back on the closing
Of another year and what we’ve learned,
One prepares not just for a new year
But for a new presidential term.
Recalling those familiar faces no
Longer do we see,
Yet they live on and on in our memories.
Memories we will carry in our heart and soul
Memories we will call on in our later years
To tell our children and grandchildren when
We too get old.
And so as we draw closer to those last
Few days of 2024,
Let us pause, smile and reflect on those
Events you remember as 2025 closes
