The Discovery
Traveling deep in the expanse of space,
searching for life in another place.
The search has been long as generations have passed.
A planet of blue appears at long last.
The ship sets its orbit around this new globe
and releases its tiny but numerous probes.
Down on the surface the landscape is green.
Wave’s splash on the shore, the waters pristine.
The atmosphere is tested for breathable air
The results show the prospects are more than just fair.
A team is dispatched to the surface below
where the first breath is taken on an entirely new world.
