The Dental Hygienist’s Nightmare
By Elton Camp
Gina glanced at her appointment book
A new patient was coming for a look
Soon, he was sitting in her chair
He grinned and said, “Howdy there.”
“My teeth ain’t been cleaned in many a year.
So that’s th’ reason thet I’ve came here.”
“I just et some garlic and onion stew
So I shore hope hit won’t bother you.”
“To get hear on time, I was in a rush
So I couldn’t find my old toothbrush.”
“My little check don’t hardly count
So I hope you kin charge a less amount.”
“By th’ time I pay fer cigarettes and beer
I ain’t got much left thet I kin pay here.”
“Excuse me a minute,” Gina said
She stepped outside to clear her head
Her car sped off with a roar
The dentist saw her no more
