The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence
~~~~Drafted by Thomas Jefferson~~~~~
Tomorrow is Independence Day!
But his hometown, refuses to honor him any longer.
He once owned slaves, so in our history, is a goner.
Do people think he beat them or what?
The seething, Dog Whistle crowd thinks it's not kashrut.
So look for statues of the famous to fall,
While the angry Americans shop, eat, and toke at a mall.
Our Constitution in now 230 years old.
But to these lost souls, mean nothing more than green mold.
This is what we get for not paying attention,
Our nation seething in feckless degradation.
So fortunate was I, for what was then, a sane university
education.
Punishing good men, dead or alive, is the sick addiction of our
current generation!
Speak up now.
Or one day there will be no American nation.
Not only for you, but your own progeny or,
all future generations.
God Bless America!
