The Death of Thorin Oakenshield
Wielding a mighty axe
the leader of
the dwarves
came to a noble end
Yes, he was overcome
at first
by greed and lust
for gold
Yet his heart went out
to the doughty hobbit Bilbo
after the battle of Five Armies ended
He let his rage die
Yes, at first he was overcome
by his desire
for the gem of gems - the Arkenstone
Yet in the end he realized
that real riches
lie in friendship
the joy of time spent
with those we honor and trust
