The Death of a Telephone
It happened yesterday morning I was home alone,
I suddenly remembered I had to use the telephone,
I picked up the receiver and I put it to my ear,
What I heard caused me mortal fear,
I heard silence, silence in my ear,
This was really baffling it took me by surprise,
What could have caused my telephones demise?
