The Day Is Mine

The Day Is Mine The day is mine To burn alive Or seek salvation Simple things Gestures and smiles My heart I lost Cracked and faded My memories Are dusty Sitting In a battered box These places We used to love My heart isn't real It's an echo Of what it once was This box Is taped shut With duct tape This could be the end Or The very beginning The day is mine To burn alive Or seek salvation

Thanks. I'm glad you like it, but I wouldn't call it amazing.
