I am not religious, but i am spiritual. I was sitting in my front room, and playing my guitar, without thinking of anything, and a story told to me as a child about a well and Jesus talking to a lady there, who offered him water, just popped into my head. I remember being fascinated by the words that Jesus spoke to her, He said, If you believe in me, i will show you Living Water.
Immediately, these words came into my head, and as i sang them, a deep inner emotion came up inside of me. As i said in the beginning, i am not religious, but i will not and cannot deny that this happened to me.
I have come to realise that the water of which he spoke was about the spirit inside of us, that is living sustenance. So during this horrid time of covid, the loneliness, the monotony, i sing this song and it makes me smile. Thank you for reading this.
