the darkness asks no questions - I do
The Darkness Asks No Questions – I do
He stood ever closer to the edge knowing the fear would be worse than the fall,
The tears came, acid lies, steeped in memories poison.
He did all that he could do… knowing there would always be more to do.
Death plays spin-the-bottle with the will to persevere.
She had the soft eyes of a feral cat – waiting.
Low tide brings a foul wind…not a good beach day.
The mouse froze, the cat’s claws tensed, a circling hawk watched.
There’s something about September roses that clings to hope.
The Zen of then – Let it go …but keep the pictures.
There is a sadness to growing older knowing it is all fading – slowly.
A coldness gnaws at the hearts of those trying to remember.
He sits, lost within the shadows of a life – weeping.
Love can lead you to the loneliest places in search of it.
